Our House!

October is finally here! We closed on the house as planned October 1 and started moving in right away!

We had amazing help from our families and friends with the move. We couldn't have finished all the work without them here! Both our parents drove a U-Haul to Des Moines with couches, beds, desks and all the other stuff they were ready to give to us! :)
When my parents left Cedar Falls the U-Haul there was out of 14 foot long trucks, and 17 foot trucks. So they hauled everything here in a 26 foot truck! It was really funny to open it up and see just a few things stacked against the sides. I'm sure the neighbors thought we had a whole bunch of stuff, considering we had another U Haul in the driveway overnight the previous night.
We still have a lot of work to do. Most of the unpacking is done but there is painting needed and other updates we are excited to add to the home. Aaron's parents are letting us use their Clavinova piano here at the house and I already love it! I'm excited to start playing again, Aaron will never see me!

Between the house and football season we have been pretty busy! We've only been to one home UNI game. This Saturday is UNI Homecoming and we're heading to Cedar Falls for a long weekend. The Panthers are 3-2 right now.
I met some of my friends at a Touch of Class to check it out in September. Due to the flooding, they had not hosted a wedding in the gazebo since May! There is an alternate outdoors location in case something similar happens next year.
